The use of WordPress blogs are often made better by the additions that are put onto the blogs. Plug ins are not unlike widgets as in they are little add ons that increase the viewer experience and make the blog easier to find in the expansive world wide web. The difference between a widget and a plug in matters because while both are there for the aforementioned reason, the plug in is usually there for a more technical or business purpose.
While widgets can range from fun to informative, plug ins usually range from helpful to necessary to the success of the blog. Think of these apps as the added on marketing tools to take an ordinary blog found at the end of a search, all the way to the top of the search. Plug ins in most cases are needed to enhance the potential of a blog.
Finding plugins are easy. They can be downloaded for free and used forever. There are updates and those updates are made better and can continually increase the ease and effectiveness of the plugins. To give those who are still a bit confused, here is a difference between a plugin and a widget.
A widget might be an application by a company called Coastr. It’s a box that hangs in or around a blog that gives the authors, or the page administrators, favorite beer and pubs that are found on the Coastr website. This might have no value to the actually money making aspect of the blog, but it gives it a little more entertainment value.
A plugin, on the other hand, is something like the All-in-One SEO Pack. This allows an author to create key words and tags to help a blog posting come up better in search engines. This will increase, in many cases, the overall money making ability of a blog if that’s the true intention of the blogger.
